6 tips for a successful microblading treatment
15th June 2021 by Birgit Wallinger
Tip 1: Get to know your customer better during the anamnesis interview
Most customers have already obtained basic information about microblading treatment and now want the security and expertise of a trained stylist. Explain to your customer in detail all processes, risks as well as preventive and follow-up care. Discuss every single step and inform you about the current hygiene regulations.
Tip 2: Listen to your customer's wishes when sketching out
Let your customer come to the sketch already with make-up. This shows you how the eyebrows are usually made up: It is important to know what shape and color the customer is already used to. Based on this, you can now suggest the shape and color for your part and thus respond precisely to the wishes of your customer. The drawing is absolutely the most important step of the treatment!
Tip 3: Define the shape of the eyebrows with the help of your client
Prepare the brows precisely for the treatment - the final shape of the brow is created by this step. Take your time - an exact eyebrow shape makes microblading easier and guarantees satisfied customers.
Tip 4: Keep calm with the first microblading treatment
After the drawing, the first microblading treatment begins. This first treatment can take up to two hours because perfection is the most important thing. With the help of the microblading pen and the matching blades, the finest lines of hair are pigmented in the top layer of skin of the eyebrow area - exactly where the eyebrow shape was previously drawn!

Tip 5: Inform your customer about the healing process and give advice on how to care for them
It is normal for the eyebrow area to remain swollen or slightly red for around 24 hours. It is imperative that you carefully educate your client about proper follow-up care and the healing process.
Day 1 to 3
After 24 hours - sensitive, no contact with creams or water, gently dabbing off excess lymph fluid. The eyebrows appear wider than average and dark!
Day 4 to 6
Slight crust formation, itching can occur, the optical result gradually adapts to the facial contour and the desired color nuance. Avoid scratching or rubbing. Grazia Aftercare Cream can be applied thinly up to 3 times a day.
Day 7 to 9
The crust is beginning to peel off. The color no longer appears so intense. Sometimes customers call now - the color is gone. No reason to panic! It takes up to 28 days to see the final color result!
Day 10 to 12
Much of the crust should have fallen off. The appearance could therefore appear uneven. This is also not a cause for concern, as the optics change progressively as the healing process progresses.
Day 13 to 15
The wounds have regenerated, you can start with the usual care and light styling. The eyebrows are slightly darkened and develop the shape and density that can be achieved with an initial microblading application.
Day 16 to 28
About 28 days after the pigmentation, the brow has taken on its final color and a follow-up treatment to perfection is booked.
Tip 6: make an appointment for the follow-up treatment
The pigmented color mostly fades up to 40 %, which is by no means unsettling. For this reason, a follow-up treatment is necessary to refill the color again. This takes place after the wound has completely healed, i.e. approx. One month after the actual pigmentation.
The most important tip I can give you is - respond to the wishes and needs of your customer and always stay in contact with her.
