How can Permanent make up help after breast cancer?
06th October 2021 by Ingrid Bregenzer
In the cosmetic and medical field, permanent make up techniques are referred to as "paramedical pigmentation" or "dermapigmentation".
After breast cancer operations, the natural appearance of a woman or man is often affected by a disharmony of the nipples. Optical and color adjustments by means of dermapigmentation can be performed. Those adjustments work against the optical disharmony of the operated breast.
Both men and women highly appreciate this option.
In breast cancer patients, breast reconstruction is usually performed after breast removal. There are many possibilities for the reconstruction of the breast area: with autologous tissue from the lower abdomen, buttocks or back, by means of implants, and with an external breast prosthesis. The latter is used when reconstruction is not desired or not possible. Depending on the situation, the doctor decides with the patient which method is best.
After breast reconstruction, the nipple is pigmented to achieve a natural appearance. Scars are best concealed and improved with dermaneedling (microneedling).
Breast cancer patients who are interested in treatment as an areola model in our Swiss Color academy receive individual, personal care and advice from me.
For a discreet and non-binding consultation, please contact the Swiss Color team at +43 5332 56671 or send us an email at info@swiss-color.com. Of course, the consultation is free of charge and will take place in Angerberg/Tirol.
Important information: In the case of medical indications (e.g. breast cancer operations, burns and accidental injuries), the costs for the corresponding reconstructive measures (also Permanent make up) are covered in part or in total by the national or private health insurance company. We will provide you with a cost estimate after our consultation.
