Breast cancer - art - self-love! The power of areola pigmentation!

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women. Treatment can lead to partial to complete removal of the breast. The significant psychological impact that such surgery often has on patients is very close to our hearts at Swiss Color! We experience the interaction between how we feel and how we look every day. That is why we see it as part of our mission to improve the body satisfaction of those affected and thus contribute to their emotional healing and to a new sense of well-being.
After breast reconstruction, areola pigmentation can create a three-dimensional, natural impression of the areola and nipple. Slight shading creates an effect of authenticity. Shape and shade are adapted to individual aesthetic preferences.
Areola pigmentation has a special place in the heart of Swiss Color founder Ingrid Bregenzer. She and SC Master Trainers such as Paola Gateño, Ina Bennoun and Amalia Moreno are international luminaries in this field. They personally care for sufferers and train PMU stylists in Paramedical Pigmentation. As speakers at international congresses and in hospitals, they communicate the importance of this topic, are leaders in relevant studies and are in close exchange with surgeons and gynecologists.
In October, international attention is drawn to the prevention, research and treatment of breast cancer. For around 30 years, fundraising campaigns, charity runs, galas and events with factual information have been organized for good causes around the world under the sign of the well-known pink ribbon.
During the treatment, any scars are first corrected using the Derma SR dermaneedling technique and prepared for pigmentation. Then, the area where the areola is to be pigmented in an anatomically correct manner is pre-drawn. The area is prepared with the hygienic spray, SC MedSkin, before the treatment. Recommended pigment colors for areola application can be found in our webshop.
After treatment, the area is hygienically cleaned again with SC MedSkin and 904 Pigment Sealer is applied thinly as a liquid patch if the skin is dry or thin. It keeps the skin pleasantly supple after pigmentation until the micro-scabs have fallen off. For aftercare at home, we recommend Aftercare Cream Grazia on the pigmented area and Scar Repair Cream from our Derma SR brand to regenerate the scars. Also during the healing phase, the SC MedSkin ensures perfect hygiene without alcohol and toxins and supports the ingrowth of the pigments into the skin.
It is nice to be able to contribute to this topic. Therefore, stay up to date on our
